About Us – The Collector Behind Collectors Spot
Collectors Spot is not an anonymous online shop. Behind every order is a collector who has known what matters for over 40 years – from the first Matchbox cars in 1982 to today's 1:50 scale mining equipment models.
Founded on July 1, 2021. Specializing in Conrad, WSI, NZG, Pop Race, and COBI. Shipping from Germany. Collector-friendly packaging. Always.
The start
Five years old. First Matchbox. No chance anymore.
1982. What began as a small, child-sized metal car
laid the foundation for everything that followed.
A fascination with vehicles, with machines,
with the perfect miniature representation of the real world.
Die Leidenschaft wächst
The collection grows. So do the demands.
Matchbox becomes more. Larger models,
more detailed designs, true-to-life scales.
The realization: A model is not a toy.
It is an object with a story behind it.
Die Besessenheit
1:50 – and suddenly things get serious
Conrad. WSI. NZG. The world of 1:50 scale
models opens up – and with it a precision
and attention to detail that surpasses everything
seen before.
Die Spezialisierung
Mining Equipment. The ultimate discipline.
A Caterpillar 769. A Liebherr R991.
Machines that literally move mountains
and dominate the shelf in 1:50 scale.
This fascination never lets you go.
Die Idee
What's missing, you build yourself.
The plan is taking shape. A shop for collectors,
by a collector. No mass shipping, no
anonymous warehouse. Just curated models and
genuine expertise behind every order.
Der Start
July 1, 2021 – collectors-spot.de goes live.
After more than 40 years as a collector, my first day
as a shop owner. Not as a dealer – as a collector
with a shop. With a promise: I personally know
every model displayed here.
